Before and After

Most of my recipes are either spicy or they are something chicken or both! I really LOVE LOVE LOVE salsa so I eat it almost everyday!!  It is low in calories and you get your vegetables! I will start posting different recipes either later today or tomorrow and try to add new ones at least every few days! Feel free to share your recipes and workout!!

Exercise!

I love exercising and always have but with two little kids I don't really have a ton of time. So I get up at 6 AM to make sure that I get my workout in before the kiddos are up.  My oldest wakes up sometimes and loves to workout with me! I don't have a treadmill or anything like that so I run in place for 40 minutes sometimes I run up and down the stairs. Then I do 5 minutes of Jumping Jacks and then 5 minutes of Sit Ups. Then as soon as I am done I shower and make breakfast! This gets me going in the mornings and I love that sometimes when I am done working out my family is still asleep and I get to just rest in silence!!

Getting Started!

Ok I am really going to do this! Things to help get you started are:

**Calorie Counter (I use one called Loseit on my Ipod)
 
*Not everyone needs the same amount of calories. To see how many calories you need you will want to check to see what you should be eating. Some great sites to use if you don't have a Ipod/Iphone are:
They are all free sites! So check them out and see which one you like!

*Time (It takes time to figure out all the calories to your meals at first but it is worth it in the end!)

*Motivation! This is a key one, I can give your everything that I have but if you don't use it then you wont get far.

*Don't weigh everyday. Your weight will change because your body can't build muscle and burn fat at the same time. Wait at least a week in between each weigh in.

*Be aware of snacking. I mean the kind were you see something and take just one bite because it adds up in calories.

*Don't drink your calories! This is the worst way to get your calories. I usually just stick to water but once in a while I have milk usually with cereal! But if you have to have something limit yourself or your going to end up being hungry.

*Eat small mini meals throughout the day and not just the normal 3 meals 2 snacks. I personally eat every 2-3 hours.
